Regardless of what you may or may not have planned this Mother’s Day, make sure your main goal of the day is to make them feel like the magnificent person they are!

Whether it’s freshly baked croissants and coffee from the local bakery or a full English breakfast with a nice cuppa, add some flowers and a glass of prosecco or champagne to add a little some special.

Plan a picnic

Considering the current state of world affairs at the moment, what better way to stay safe and enjoy some delicious food and drink than by indulging in a picnic? They’re timeless and traditional yet modern, and at this present moment, one of the safest ways to enjoy company and good grub in the great outdoors. As the temperature is getting warmer and the days are getting longer, an exclusive picnic is a great idea for this Mother’s Day! If all goes to plan, you’ll be allowed to enjoy a tantalising picnic outside with one other person from March 8th — just in time for this special day.

If you want to make sure this picnic is as fun and safe as possible, make sure you each individually bring your own food and drinks. Gather some tasty home-made sandwiches, delicious sweet treats and maybe even some banana bread you’ve mastered baking throughout lockdown. Whatever you bring, make sure you show your loved one how much you appreciate them and lift the family’s mood (if in the same bubble) with a well-awaited picnic in the sun!

Please note: Please remember to stick to the government guidelines. From the 29th March the “rule of six” will return, along with a new two-household rule, at the end of next month, allowing either six people from a maximum of six separate households to meet in outdoor settings such as parks and private gardens, or a maximum of two households, regardless of the number of people.
