Serinn House

Ürgüp, Turkey

In one of the most ancient lands on the old Silk Road in Eastern Turkey, a traditional cave dwelling has been reinvented as a bolthole for aficionados of design and authenticity.

Cappadocia Design Caves

Chiselled out of stone, the six guest suites feature some extraordinary design pieces including chairs by Ron Arad, Konstantinos Gric and Charles and Ray Eames.

The Location

Famous since time began, Cappadocia is distinguished by a landscape so exotic that it looks like the planet Tatooine from Star Wars.

The Rooms

Caves have been the dwelling of choice here for thousands of years and for good reason. They are remarkably cool in summer and surprisingly warm in winter. All they need style wise is a helping hand of inspired design.

Nibbles & Tipples

Situated upstairs, adjacent to a terrace with a sweeping view, the restaurant only serves breakfast but it's a breakfast of exceptional quality and proportion.

There is no bar as such but drinks can be served at a number of different outdoor spaces including this quaint corner of the main courtyard.

God is in the details

The surrounding landscape is weird, unusual and unique; the result of the uneven erosion of a deep layer of hardened volcanic ash. It's unlike anything you will have seen before and this why it is so worth the experience.
