Christmas In New York

Travel Journal

A city that exudes 1950s glamour and intermingled cultures, the Christmas season in the Big Apple is absolutely spectacular! Like something you only see in the movies, this December we visited the world’s most well-known and trendiest city, New York. As we all know this is one of the most romantic cities in the world, especially during the winter season with a layer of white snow coating everything and everyone. We indulged in the magical festive atmosphere that surrounded us and were not short of anything to do. From ice-skating under the Rockefeller Christmas tree and browsing through the Union Square Christmas markets, to otherworldly shopping in the World Trade Centre and traditional snowy walks through the famous Central Park, an NYC Christmas is a truly marvellous experience. Nestled in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighbourhood we discovered Rolf’s Restaurant, a German restaurant completely decked out in Christmas decorations — it was like walking into a Christmas fairytale. We indulged in some delicious Bavarian cuisine, savoured some tasty German beer and felt completely at one with the festive spirit! New York City truly is the most wonderful place to visit during the festive season.
