Barefoot charm and spectacular views in an amazing setting.
With one of the best views in the world, Six Senses Yao Noi is like something out of an Oriental adventure novel.
Koh Yao Noi is a tiny, jungle-clad island in the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea that looks out on a stupendous collection of limestone outcrops sticking up like abandoned skyscrapers out of the water on the horizon.
Guest villas, almost camouflaged by the surrounding jungle, are scattered along the rather steep slopes of this isolated island. With individual swimming pools and spacious surrounding decks, they have all been designed to maximise the amazing view.
The most dramatic restaurant is a glass-bottomed affair, suspended over a small stream next to a waterfall. There is also a restaurant close to the beach, arranged to take in that world-famous view.
The guest villas, with their thatch roofs and rugged timber construction, complete the fantasy, as do the various restaurants, one of which is built beside a waterfall suspended over a river.
You will feel like you have stumbled, like a castaway, onto a jewel-like island blessed with high peaks, dense foliage and splendid private beaches.
