By way of originality and creativity, Lebombo has conceived a new way to experience Africa's wildlife. It's as if everything has been amplified; as if you're floating above the bush on your own cloud, seeing and hearing all, while remaining undetected. For the guest, it's an almost surreal experience.
Cantilevered from steeply sloping rock faces that hang above the Sweni river, the guest bungalows at Lebombo can only be described as spectacular. The interiors, in keeping with modernity, are an inspired ensemble of African textures, colours and cutting-edge contemporary furniture.
Because the bungalows are all glass (including the ceiling) the view is all pervasive - an African scene straight from a postcard, a silvery river snaking through the bush framed by suitably dramatic sky.
Tossing aside the thatched roof, mud coloured wall cliché that has come to define most African game lodges, Lebombo opted instead for a daring architectural approach, housing guests in glass bungalows, with the idea that Africa's majestic landscape passes through your accommodation.
Dining areas overlook the expanse of the Lebombo Concession.
The main lodge boasts an open-plan lounge and bar area.
