The famous hotelier has risen to new heights with the second Four Seasons in Dubai. Based in the cities’ DIFC district, the hotel has already been named ‘Hotel of the Year’. There are high hopes for this sleek enclave that feels like a sophisticated private members club. Designed primarily for productivity, it is a complete contrast, with its sister, the grand Jumeriah Beach resort so the two fit harmoniously in the same city.
New York-based designer Adam Tihany has furnished the hotel with a palate of tobacco and bronze popping with works of modern art, swanky sofas and Roja toiletries.
Ideal for business types, the hotel is in the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre district. However, also appealing to a ‘HIPper’ clientele it is a stone’s throw from the creative hub Gate Village, where you will find some of the most celebrated restaurants in Dubai, including Zuma, Boca and Gaucho.
Despite having 106 rooms, the place manages to maintain a familiar and boutique vibe. Warn the staff before you arrive and they will tailor your bedding to suit. Indulge in the soft, all-encompassing mattress or sink into one of the all-encompassing beds.
The dimmer, more secluded Churchill Club cigar bar downstairs serves a selection of Japanese specials along with an array of international cigars and fine spirits.
Escape to the lively Luna Sky Bar on the eight floor that boasts the five-star view of the striking Burj Khalifa and light, fresh dishes.
An intimate haven of treatments on the spa's menu provides a more private alternative to the slick, glass-enclosed lap pool on the rooftop.
