We’ve collated our definitive list of North American destinations for all of our North American followers, so despite the pandemic, you’ll still be able to enjoy a vibrant and fulfilled summer.

Mexico City, Mexico

Experiencing a microcosm of interwoven cultures within the exotic vibrancy of Mexico has never been so easy. Just a short flight from New York, this megacity is a fusion of culture, architecture, a delectable culinary scene, and a rich, storied history offering the basis for visitors to discover its equally as magnificent contemporary side. From the fashionable neighbourhood of La Condesa with its tree-lined boulevards to Polanco with its luxury ambience and high-end shopping, Mexico City blossoms with a wide array of activities to occupy your time — parks, galleries, landmarks, museums, and cantinas. Explore the birthplace of Frida Kahlo, also known as The Blue House, a snapshot of the Latin American artist’s colourful past, or retreat to the Coyoacan Market, one of the city’s most iconic shopping destinations, selling everything from striking spices to textiles and materials — essential for a true local experience.

Québec City, Canada

Hailing as Canada’s oldest city, the historic French town of Québec City is a unique experience in itself. A distinctive fusion of French-Canadian cultures, this destination is commanded by the centrepiece of Château Frontenac with views spilling over onto St. Lawrence River, portraying a location that shines in all of its European elegance. You’ll feel more like you're in a quaint Provençal town than a Canadian urban centre — no wonder it was granted status as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a ride on the Old Québec Funicular for easy access between the upper and lower portion of the town, and where you’ll be treated to sublime views over the river. Explore the city’s storied past as a fortified city and unravel the area’s military history at the Citadelle, surrounded by 254 acres of ground that marked the 1759 battle between the French and British. For an experience that feels worlds away from North America, Québec City is as enchanting as it gets.

Los Cabos, Mexico

A trip to Baja California is one fraught with exotic fulfillment — dramatic stretches of beautiful beaches prevail across its entirety, and it is at the southernmost tip where you will find the most varied holiday experience. Tulum, Mexico

For an experience of Mexico turned up a notch, Tulum is pleasing on the eye and a refuge for the soul. Barefoot luxury prevails here, with its New Age vibe that not only approves of, but encourages the stripped-back pace of life — dining at jungle-hidden restaurants, lounging on stretches of white sands beaches and bathing in the myriad cenotes that beckon visitors to swim and explore to their heart’s content. As one of Mexico’s most eco-friendly destinations, you can rest assured in the knowledge that you’re being as kind to the planet as possible, and if you wish to take that aspect one step further, visit from May to October, when you’ll be able to see the hatching of sea turtles as night falls. Under the veil of night, you’ll also discover that Tulum is where Mexico’s nightlife takes on a new kind of energy — so grab a cocktail, some good Mexican food and bask in the glory of being in such a breathtaking location.
