This charming guesthouse, nestled in the beautiful hills of Camaiore, combines the best parts of a home and a hotel. The owner Riccardo Barsottelli, a favourite of the fashion pack, has created an informal yet luxurious atmosphere that is impossible to put your finger on. Decorated with a mix of vintage and art deco furniture from Buenos Aires, Paris and London, Locanda is a tastefully curated homage to Barsottelli’s travels.
There is a heated salt-water pool, and a whirlpool to let yourselves go amongst the olive groves. But, if you’re after the real thing, all guests have a private gazebo at the local beach club.
Locanda is set in the Tuscan seaside province of Versilia. A stone’s throw away from the coastline renowned for unspoiled beaches and surrounded by Apuanian Alps, Locanda is a breath of fresh air.
There is a mix of 9 rooms and three suites, with panoramic views looking out onto the olive groves.
You will be awoken by the scent of homemade bread and pastries from the breakfast buffet. Dinner in the restaurant isn’t a formal affair, it is more of a dinner party hosted by Riccardo and his friends.
Step into nature and get lost amongst olive trees, lavender, rosemary and sage - can you already smell the enchanting scent?
